About this event
Join us as we explore Daniel Story's argument that the B-theory of time—the idea that past, present, and future are equally real—might mean that we don't need to fear death quite so much. Get the reading and learn more here. After you register, you'll receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link for the meeting. About Elevated Thoughts Philosophy Group Elevated Thoughts Philosophy Group is a partnership between the Estes Valley Library and the Philosophy Outreach Program of Colorado (POPCO) at CU Boulder. Each month, we'll read a relatively short philosophical text and then meet online on the fourth Thursday to discuss it. We'll post each month's reading on the group site in advance. We'll need at least two registered participants to hold the discussion, and we encourage participants to attend even if they haven't finished the reading. Philosophy Ph.D. candidate Kyle York and other CU Boulder philosophy graduate students will facilitate discussions. Facilitators will focus on encouraging and guiding a group discussion/learning event rather than on teaching. We hope you'll join us!
