You'll be walked through the machine, its settings and capabilities, as well as proper safety. Students will practice using both hands in sync to get the perfect rythm for achieving clean, solid welds. Each student will recieve 1/8" mild steel coupons they will tack into a formation with 4 of the major welding joints, the Fillet, Lap, Butt, and Corner Joints, to expose you to the most common joints in metal fabrication. Students will rotate between 2-3 different machines to learn the nuances between models and foot pedal types, as well as the difference between an air cooled welding machine and a water cooled welding machine. With the fine control of TIG welding you'll have the power to create sleek, strong and clean welds on steel, and in my later classes, aluminum, stainless steel!
