Dangerous & Beautiful with the Town & Country Symphony Orchestra

Join the Town & Country Symphony Orchestra and guest conductor Dr. Rolynd Lyon della Sylvan for an afternoon of 'dangerous and beautiful' music about magic, love, and a deal with the devil. Dr. della Sylvan ("Dr. D" as he is known) is an accomplished and charismatic conductor with much experience with eastern European orchestras and as an instructor in the United States. He will lead the full Town & Country Symphony through an array of highly recognizable classical pieces making it an extra fun performance. Dr. D and members of the orchestra are expected to join our group after the concert for dinner. This concert is Free. No tickets are required. However, reserved seating for our group to sit together will be set aside by the orchestra based on your RSVP. (Don't be a no show, ever!) As always, come early for closest parking on the Principia campus. For our optional dinner after the concert, with David Ackerman, president of the TCSO, and guest conductor Rolynd della Sylvan will be at the nearby Mike Duffy's in Town & Country. It should be added fun. This fast paced music program will feature von Weber’s overture to *Der Freischütz*, Elgar’s “Nimrod” from the *Enigma Variations*, Verdi’s overture to *La forza del destino*, Sibelius’s *Valse triste*, Mendelssohn's *Hebrides Overture*, and Copland’s *Fanfare for the Common Man*. TCSO will be joined by Rising Talents medalist Elsa Heaton in her performance of the first movement from Vieuxtemps’s *Violin Concerto No. 4 in D Minor*: I. Andante – Moderato. (Elsa is student of Hannah Ji of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra)
