Big questions? Big thoughts? Let's get together and have a conversation about it

What actually happens at an Estuary event? An Estuary event is a two-hour conversation, but not just any conversation. We especially welcome people from different ideological backgrounds, different religions, different political persuasions, and different perspectives on current events. We appreciate intellectual diversity, intellectual honesty, and free expression. Our goal is to listen and learn, and perhaps even learn to love. We use a protocol that encourages mutual respect and openness to new ideas. How does it work? * There is no pre-determined agenda * Nobody comes with a prepared lesson * Each participant puts a topic on the table, and then we decide together which topic lends itself best to an interesting and productive conversation * Every session is different No topic is off limits. We tackle the big questions of life – morality, meaning, current events, relationships, and more. No one should feel afraid to share their honest opinion, and no one should feel pressured to agree with anyone else. When & Where * Every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month * 6:00–8:00 PM * St. Louis County Library (Clark Family Branch), 1640 S Lindbergh Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63131 * Meeting in the common area behind the main reception desk (back right side of space) You would be welcome.
