Community Language Exchange with LingoMix

South Building Atrium. Learning another language or wanting to learn one? CHPL is partnering with LingoMix Cincy to host a free language exchange event. Language learners of all ages will have the opportunity to practice their language skills with their community by meeting and mingling with native speakers and other learners. There will be complimentary snacks and drinks; as well as free books & programming for children. Check back soon for the schedule of activities during the event. How does the language exchange work? Participants wear stickers of flags that represent languages or cultures that they identify with. Check in with the LingoMix check-in table to get your flags. Then, walk around the room and meet new people. When you see a flag you recognize, you join or start a conversation! Who is attending? This event is for language learners of all ages. Attendees are often multilingual professionals and multilingual families; international students, globally-minded community members, cultural organizations, and community leaders. LingoMix is a multicultural social series that brings people from different backgrounds together through conversation, culture, and language. People can meet someone new, practice a language, share their culture, and connect with Cincinnati's global community.
