Please join us for a special Veterans Day program on Wednesday, November 11. Patrick Kerin, local historian and a former president of the Greenhills Historical Society, will share highlights from his father’s WWII memoir Uncommon Valor: The Marine Memoir of James Richard “Dick” Kerin. Dick Kerin was a teacher and coach at the former Greenhills High School and long serving member of Hugh Watson American Legion Post 530 in Greenhills. His memoir details his service as a Marine paratrooper who fought on Bougainville and Iwo Jima and served in the Occupation of Japan.
