About this event

Large Study Room (Blue). Please come be part of a monthly Community Building Circle! Humans are social beings who thrive and are more resilient when community bonds are nurtured and strengthened. We are made to share our stories, to laugh and cry and make meaning together. Facilitated by Partners in Restorative Initiatives (PiRI), the circle structure allows each participant to speak in turn without interruption, creating a space to make connections, build relationships, and be heard. Each circle focuses on a meaningful topic chosen by trained facilitators. No matter the topic, a common response from participants as they listen to each other is, “It’s not just me–I’m not the only one!” In this time where isolation is common, this experience can be powerful. There is never any pressure to speak in circle, or to return to future circles, but PiRI hopes that after experiencing a circle and the relationships that develop there, you'll keep returning to be part of building community. Registration is required. If you need any reasonable accommodations, please contact Sue Del Pozzo at susan.delpozzo@libraryweb.org at least 7 business days before the event.
