About this event
This program is intended for youth in grades 1st through 8th. Learn how to draw Minnesota’s state bird—the Common Loon! A long-bodied, aquatic diving bird native to Minnesota and the Northern Hemisphere, known for their iconic, haunting calls. We will draw inspiration from John James Audubon, a self taught, French-American artist and naturalist who sought to document all the bird species on the North American continent. In this class, we will be using pencil and sharpie to draw the image outline, then add color with watercolor pencils. Anoka County Library strives to ensure that all visitors are able to access library resources, services, and programs. Assistive technology and program accommodations are available at many library locations, as outlined on our library accessibility page. Please call the library branch hosting the program at least two weeks prior to an event if there are additional accommodations we can provide for you to fully participate. This program is funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund
