About this event

Coffee & Connection is a monthly program that brings local organizations directly into the library to connect with the people they serve. Each month, the Concord library hosts a different community group to give patrons an open, welcoming space to ask questions, share concerns, and learn about available resources. We encourage an honest dialogue to help strengthen relationships between community members and the organizations that support them. Whether patrons want information, need assistance, or wish to voice feedback, the Concord library provides a respectful forum for conversation and connection...and coffee. Coffee and snacks will be provided. This month, our guest organization will be Caminar. We will be focusing on the work they do helping people experiencing homelessness through the Concord Mobile Dignity Center and with rapid rehousing. The Concord Mobile Dignity Center (CMDC) is a collaborative effort that brings multiple organizations together at a single, accessible location to provide services, including: Mobile Showers (family showers between 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM) Free Clothing Free Food Housing Navigation Mental Health Services Case Management Medical Care (2nd Thursday of the month) Find the CMDC at the First Christian Church of Concord, 3039 Willow Pass Rd. Concord, CA 94519. This location is easily accessible via Bus Line 15. Programming is made possible thanks to support from the Concord Friends of the Library.
