About this event
Join our book discussion on the second Tuesday of each month. This book club is geared toward the classics. Our January 2027 book is One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The definitive book of the Magical Realism genre tells the story of seven generations of the Buendía family in the town of Macondo. One night while camping on a riverbank, José Arcadio dreams of "Macondo", a city of mirrors that reflected the world in and about it. Upon awakening, he decides to establish Macondo at the riverside; after days of wandering the jungle, his founding of Macondo is utopic. Bring your travel mug filled with your favorite coffee and your thoughts on this for discussion.
