Our October 2026 book is The Island of Dr. Moreau by H.G. Wells. Just in time for spooky season! A shipwrecked man, Edward Prendick, is stranded on a remote island with a disgraced scientist, Dr. Moreau, who performs horrific vivisection experiments to create human-like animal hybrids, known as the Beast Folk, raising questions about science, ethics, and what it means to be human.
