The Library’s Civics 101 series seeks to explore lesser known political histories and perspectives and shine a light on local issues impacting our community. This year, we're highlighting stories of civics that go beyond the ballot: all the activism, organizing, protest, research, and community building that go on behind the scenes to make change happen. Join us for Disability Rights to Disability Justice, a presentation by Ray-Mizumura Pence, teaching professor with KU’s American Studies department, to learn about the Kansas roots of the movement for disability rights and the future of the disability justice movement.
