He will offer dozens of practical kitchen tips, clever shortcut techniques, and humorous anecdotes about mastering quick home cooking. Learn how to build a rich broth from scratch, make frozen vegetables your culinary best friend, and streamline your prep with simple potato, rice, and noodle hacks. He will also break down which canned staples are truly worth keeping, reveal the three essential ingredients that belong in every pot, and share easy flavor boosters to elevate any recipe. Chef Warren will conclude his presentation with a live cooking demonstration, preparing a vibrant, wholesome soup that anyone can easily recreate at home in under 15 minutes. Warren Caterson is a chef and full-time writer who studied at the Southeast Institute of Culinary Arts. He is the award-winning author of “Table for Two – The Cookbook for Couples,” "Table for Two - Back for Seconds,” and "Cooking Outside the Lines - Musings of an Extemporaneous Chef" (Winfield & Scott Press). As someone who grew up in a family that loved to cook and whose household on Long Island Sound bustled every weekend with dozens of aunts, uncles, cousins and neighbors, he learned early-on the benefit of good food and good drink with good friends. In addition to writing, Chef Warren travels extensively presenting his informative and entertaining cooking demonstrations at Food & Wine Festivals, Home and Garden Shows, Conventions and other events across the country.
