Join Chef Warren as we explore and savor this European cuisine renowned for its hearty dishes, spicy condiments, and decadent desserts. He’ll share dozens of kitchen tips, cooking hints, and humorous anecdotes about the joys and challenges of cooking German cuisine for two. He will show you how to create an incredible sauerbraten, a lightning-quick schnitzel, the secret to grilling bratwurst to perfection, and a hearty beef and cabbage soup that will give any restaurant a run for its money. Chef Warren will end his presentation with a cooking demonstration, preparing a German entrée that anyone can replicate in their own home in less than 15 minutes. Warren Caterson is a chef and full-time writer who studied at the Southeast Institute of Culinary Arts. He is the award-winning author of “Table for Two – The Cookbook for Couples,” "Table for Two - Back for Seconds,” and "Cooking Outside the Lines - Musings of an Extemporaneous Chef" (Winfield & Scott Press). As someone who grew up in a family that loved to cook and whose household on Long Island Sound bustled every weekend with dozens of aunts, uncles, cousins and neighbors, he learned early-on the benefit of good food and good drink with good friends. In addition to writing, Chef Warren travels extensively presenting his informative and entertaining cooking demonstrations at Food & Wine Festivals, Home and Garden Shows, Conventions and other events across the country.
