From the ancient Mayans of Central America to the Vedics of Southeast Asia, many cultures across the globe have worked with chakras (energy centers in the body) to enhance physical and emotional well-being. In this “playshop” (aka a fun workshop), you will learn about the theory and history of chakras, experience a chakra meditation, and enjoy creating art. Absolutely no art or meditation experience is needed for this fun and engaging session. You will leave feeling energized and restored! Admission: $25 About the Instructor Katy Romita is a certified meditation instructor, an energy and sound healing facilitator, an Usui Reiki II practitioner, and a student of Lodro Rinzler’s Advanced Buddhist Studies, bringing nearly two decades of experience in a variety of meditation and healing practices. This program is eligible for the JCCMW Arts & Culture Passport.
