On Friday, December 11th the Community Center for the Performing Arts presents the Rock the Holiday: Beyond Toxics Fundraiser Concert with Aaron Meyer at the WOW Hall. Concert Rock Violinist Aaron Meyer brings familiar holiday songs as well as classical pieces to audiences, with the added excitement of his virtuosic rock band. From Mozart, Vivaldi, and Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker, to Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin, Aaron’s unique brand of Concert Rock celebrates classical music by infusing new life through the modern sound, styles, and performance of rock music. If you enjoy Lindsey Stirling, 2Cellos, or Trans‑Siberian Orchestra, you’ll love Aaron Meyer’s electrifying take on holiday and classical repertoire. VIP Tickets (LIMITED QUANTITY AVAILABLE) VIP tickets include a private pre‑show meet and greet with Aaron Meyer before he takes the stage with the rest of his band, plus complimentary appetizers and beer and wine. This is a 21+ pre‑show event held in the downstairs Beer Garden, which is not fully accessible. All ticket proceeds support the non-profit Beyond Toxics, helping defend communities and advance environmental justice across Oregon. AARON MEYER Concert Rock Violinist Inspired by the fusion of classical and rock, Aaron Meyer’s “Concert Rock” genre features arrangements from Vivaldi to Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody; Toto to Beethoven and Mozart to Muse. Instructed by his father beginning at the age of 5 and with the help of a seductive violin cake, Meyer debuted with the Philadelphia Orchestra at 11 years old. He later soloed with the Oregon Symphony, The Bangkok Symphony Orchestra in Thailand and has performed at numerous concert series and music festivals. As Aaron’s mom always said, “Aaron marches to his own beat!!” Aaron was the kid who was constantly thrown out of orchestra rehearsal for misbehaving.
