Let’s Dive Deeper in Screenprinting!—Are you interested in taking your textile prints to the next level? Level-up your skill set in this intermediate class to design multi-color prints.In this workshop, you will learn how to register and print multiple colors, how to mix transparent base into ink to create overlays of color, and how to ‘unhinge’ the screen and print large. You will leave with 2 yards of printed fabric, a new screen of your own, and the skills to keep exploring the creative possibilities in screenprinting. Level: Intermediate—Introduction to Screenprinting on Fabric (or Paper) or similar screenprinting experience (6 hours, covering screen exposure and printing basics) is required. Registration closes November 1, 2026. Material fees are included with your registration to cover the supplies provided in class. Students will need to gather/purchase additional materials for class (see the materials list below). This list will also be provided with the registration confirmation email. WORKSHOP SUPPLIES: Registration includes a $70 materials fee to cover consumable materials, including ink, tape, newsprint, emulsion and cleaners. It also covers the purchase of a new screen for you to take home to continue experimenting with multi-color layerings. Students will also need to supply additional materials of their own, including: A personal silkscreen – this second screen is in addition to the one included with material fees (you’ll need a total of two for class). We will have classroom screens available for use. If you think you might want to keep printing after class, you can purchase a second screen from us for $30. Contact us to reserve your screen before class starts. (optional) Personal apron – or wear clothes that can get inky (we’ll have extra aprons handy) (optional) Notebook or sketchbook for taking notes Fabric – tea towels, t-shirts, any flat fabric works well (should be clean and ironed before class).
