Become a Runway Rebel: Design, Sew and Upcycle

Eight-Week Series: Thursday, September 10 to Thursday, October 29. Sewing Class 3:30pm to 5:30pm Open Sewing 5:30pm to 6:30pm Welcome to Runway Rebels: the upcycled and reworked fashion program where you’ll take ordinary, forgotten, stained, ripped, and otherwise “please don’t make me wear that” clothing and turn it into something completely new. Over the next eight weeks, you’ll learn creative design, sewing skills, and sustainable fashion practices while creating your own fashion collection for a final runway show at LINC Library Innovation Center on Friday, November 6 at 7pm. For this weekly program, you can bring your own sewing machine or use one provided by the library. Snacks will be provided. Registration is required. Students must be between 6th and 12th grade.
