Archdiocese for the Military Services, U.S.A. Pilgrimage and Memorial Mass

On Sunday, May 17, 2026, the Archdiocese for the Military Services, U.S.A. will host its annual Pilgrimage and Memorial Mass. The pilgrimage will begin with the availability of the Sacrament of Reconciliation at 3:00 p.m. in the Crypt Church of the Basilica. Recitation of the Rosary will take place in the Great Upper Church at 3:35 p.m. Following the Rosary, Solemn Vespers will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the Great Upper Church. The Most Rev. Timothy P. Broglio, Archbishop for the Military Services, U.S.A., will be the principal celebrant and homilist of the Memorial Mass, which begins at 4:30 p.m. Honoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces, particularly those who paid the ultimate price for American liberty, the Memorial Mass begins with the posting of the colors and singing of the National Anthem. It concludes with the playing of Taps.
