About this event
The program, led by Dr. Lynn Tatum, will include lecture as well as an introductory guided exercise in which participants will begin to feel the power of this practice. Questions and discussion will follow. Goals include opening up the mind to the potential of using an updated version of this ancient practice for control of our nervous systems, creating a deeper connection to all of nature, and to explore the importance of a wholistic approach to healing. About the presenter Lynn has her doctoral degree in education, is a retired yoga teacher, LPC counselor and Vice President for Student Affairs in three community colleges. She is an educator at heart, passionate about human development and a wisdom seeker. Lynn has practiced and shared meditation, breathwork, and shamanic practices with others for over 30 years. Her teachers include Michael Harner, Harvard professor, author of the Way of the Shaman; completion of several workshops with his Foundation for Shamanic Studies; and has completed advanced practitioner training and teacher training with recognized global expert and author of 14 books on shamanism, Sandra Ingerman. For disability accommodations, call 479.856.7250 or email questions@faylib.org 2-3 weekdays before a program. Plan your visit by viewing our building map and details on accessibility services.
