A Taste of the 18th Century

A Taste of the 18th Century

Step back in time for a summer evening inspired by the flavors and spirit of the 18th century. Join the Brick Store Museum for a special outdoor dinner in the Museum courtyard on Friday, July 31, as we celebrate the era of the American Revolution and the arrival of Maine’s copy of the Declaration of Independence, on view at the Museum July 30 through August 1. Enjoy an Americana-inspired menu prepared by Chef Bill of For the Love of Food & Drink, featuring seasonal dishes and historic touches inspired by early American cooking. Guests will gather for a relaxed evening of good food, conversation, and a taste of history under the summer sky. Chef Bill may even appear in period attire and offer a small sample inspired by authentic 18th century recipes. The buffet dinner will include fresh garden greens, barbecue chicken with port wine barbecue sauce, pulled pork with slider rolls, vegetable kabobs, aged cheddar mac and cheese, bourbon baked beans, apple coleslaw, sweet pepper cornbread, and a dessert of seasonal berries with buttermilk biscuits and fresh whipped cream. Celebrate history, community, and summertime in the Kennebunks with this unique dining experience.
