« All Events A Streetcar Named Desire presented by Irene Collective April 4, 2026 | 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm A Streetcar Named Desire is a 1947 play by Tennessee Williams set in the vibrant but gritty New Orleans home of Stella and Stanley Kowalski, whose marriage is thrown into crisis by the arrival of Stella’s sister Blanche DuBois. The play is a raw, tension-filled portrait of the collision between two very different worlds. Directed by Hanna Hall and Jaclyn Bethany and presented by Irene Collective in association with BKE Productions, the full company includes Lauren Guglielmello, Patrick Nicks, Jaclyn Bethany, Justin Davis*, Amy Le, KC Simms, Gil Angelo Anfone, Malik Eli, Vanessa Curtis, Todd Voltz and Hanna Hall. *Appearing courtesy of Actor’s Equity Association, the Union of Professional Actors in the United States. This production is supported by a grant from Randy Fertel and the Fertel Foundation, Producer Hunter McHugh, the New Orleans Theatre Association (NOTA), BKE Productions, Co-Producer Robert Hughes, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Association, Threadhead Cultural Foundation, Associate Producers Anne Ravert and Ruth Koffman and takes place as part of the Tennessee Williams & New Orleans Literary Festival. Performance dates and times: 3/19 (Preview), 3/20 (Opening), 3/21, 3/22 all at 7:30 PM, 3/25, 3/26, 3/28, 3/29* all at 7:30, *added 1 PM matinee, 3/31 at 7:30, 4/1 at 7:30, 4/2 at 7:30, 4/3 at 7:30. Audience suggested arrival 15-30 mins prior to curtain. The production runs 2 hr 45 mins with a 15 minute intermission. Street parking is available at the venue. PLEASE NOTE: The theatre is a small and intimate space with limited seating. Recommended for 16+. Content Warning: A Streetcar Named Desire portrays sensitive topics including substance abuse and domestic violence and includes references to sexual assault and suicide.
