Sealed bids for Laney Drive Extension – Bid No.: 026-001 will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Prattville in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 101 W. Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067 until 9:00 AM CST, Thursday, April 9, 2026, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud at said location. A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 101 West Main Street, Prattville, Alabama 36067, on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 9:00 AM CST. The Project will include: Asphalt demolition and removal; Roadway construction; storm drain improvements; concrete sidewalk improvements, & encasements for future utilities. NOTE: All item bids are complete in place. The entire project shall be completed in one hundred fifty (150) calendar days To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on complete original proposals made available at the office of Larry E. Speaks and Associates, Inc., located at 535 Herron Street, Montgomery, AL, or by calling 334-262-1091. Hard copies of documents are available for $150.00 for each set. Upon returning the contract documents promptly and in good condition following the bid, $75.00 will be refunded to the Bidder. No bid documents will be distributed later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Prattville, Alabama, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, must accompany each of the bidder’s separate sealed proposal. Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fourteen (14) days after notice of award of Contract to them.
