Cheyenne Frontier Days is the Daddy of 'em All — the world's largest outdoor rodeo, held every July since 1897, pairing championship rodeo with Frontier Nights concerts that bring country music's biggest stars to Wyoming's capital. For ten days the whole city runs on parades, pancake breakfasts that feed thousands for free, and a carnival midway. The rest of the year, the Cheyenne Civic Center hosts touring performances, downtown's Depot Plaza stages free summer concerts beside the grand 1886 rail depot, and the city's railroad and cowboy museums anchor a steady calendar of community festivals.
