Aurora has become the Fox Valley's entertainment center on the strength of the Paramount Theatre, a 1931 Art Deco showpiece whose self-produced Broadway musical series has won national attention and routinely sells out runs. RiverEdge Park, the city's outdoor venue on the Fox River, brings touring concerts to summer evenings, while Two Brothers Roundhouse pairs craft beer with live music inside a historic limestone railroad roundhouse. Downtown's riverfront revival has added restaurants, galleries, and festival programming that make Illinois' second-largest city a legitimate night out rather than a drive-past on the way to Chicago.
