Zines for Tweens and Teens

Meeting Rooms A&B. Before social media, there were zines (pronounced "zeens"). For almost a hundred years, artists, fans, activists, and creators have used these DIY publications to share their passions, amplify unheard voices, build communities, and tell stories on their own terms. Whether your zine becomes a comic, mini-magazine, art project, fan guide, or personal creation, this workshop will show you how to get started. No experience needed and no rules required. Note: This event is designed for teens (ages 9-18) based on the skills we'll be practicing or the tools used.
