Step into the role of a photographer and take a guided experience of the main exhibition John F. Kennedy and the Memory of a Nation and the special exhibition On Assignment: Dallas Times Herald 1963. Girl Scouts of the USA and Scouting America participants will learn about the role photographers, photojournalists and newspapers played in covering the Kennedy administration and the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. By examining primary sources, scouts will learn the fundamentals of photography and the art of telling a story through photojournalism. Scouts will participate in a guided gallery visit, group discussions and hands-on activities led by Museum educators to meet the Photographer and Photography badge requirements. The experience will include a take-home Scout Field Guide with prompts and activities designed to strengthen critical thinking and active storyboarding. Troops that purchase tickets for 10 scouts will receive one complimentary adult admission. Reserve Tickets
