About this event
WVAA Coffee & Stars Star Party – North Bend State ParkJoin us at North Bend State Park for the WVAA Coffee & Stars Star Party! Enjoy a cozy cup of coffee while gazing up at the stunning night sky, utilizing one of our multiple smart telescopes, or viewing active imaging from one of our seasoned astrophotographers. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned astrophotographer, we are planning for a cool, crisp night to relax, connect, and explore the cosmos together. Star Parties: Friday and Saturday night at 7:00 PM in the Cokeley Campground area (first field on the left as you head down toward the campground). Workshops: Multiple astrophotography workshops from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday at the NBSP Lodge Conference area. These are beginner-friendly. Raffle: Purchase raffle tickets during workshop hours. The drawing takes place at 5:00 PM on Saturday. Lodging: North Bend State Park has a limited number of rooms/cabins available to reserve for the event. Please mention you are attending the WVAA Coffee & Stars Star Party when booking. The Cokeley observation area makes for a wonderful stargazing and astrophotography location. Not only is the sky wide-open and dark, but North Bend also has great accommodations whether you are RVing, camping, or staying in the lodge or a cabin. We really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and kind people. Hope to see you there!
