Writing the Whodunit: A Mystery Authors Panel

Poudre Libraries and Old Firehouse Books are delighted to welcome four Northern Colorado authors and members of the Rocky Mountain High Crimes Chapter of Sisters in Crime Colorado. In a lively discussion, they’ll share their writing journeys and personal approaches to crafting novels and short fiction. Each will reveal their top ten favorite mystery and crime novels, and answer questions about storytelling and publishing, with a book signing to follow. Kathleen Donnelly, a retired K-9 handler, crafts realism into her fictional stories from her dog-handling experience. The award-winning author of the National Forest K-9 Series, including her July 2026 release, Deadly Revenge, Kathleen launched the K-9 Justice Series in 2025 with Colorado K-9 Rescue, and is writing more books in both series.
