About this event
Join us at the picnic tables with notebook, tablet, or laptop, and write! We're at Green Lake Park every Wednesday through the summer, every other week of which we'll be taking advantage of the nice weather to get some writing done outdoors. At the end of the writing session we'll probably take some time at the end to share from among what was produced. As always, the [Proton Drive](https://drive.proton.me/urls/05PJ0BMSSW#es3lBdtVcr3y) can be used to exchange documents digitally. ***Seattle Poetry Meetup is a proud founding member of the [Western Washington Poets Network](https://www.westernwashingtonpoetsnetwork.org/) \- check out their database of open mics and critique groups in the area\.*** VENUE We'll start at the picnic tables east of the Community Center on the east side of Green Lake Park. We may relocate to the grass or elsewhere nearby depending on people's preference. See also [Seattle Transit Map](https://seattletransitmap.com/). **Light Rail:** Roosevelt Station on the 1-Line is a 15 minute walk away coming from the east. See also [Seattle Transit Map](https://seattletransitmap.com/). **Cycling:** Green Lake Park is encircled by a separated bike path which connects via Greenlake Dr. N to the northwest, NE Ravenna Blvd to the east, and Green Lake Way N to the south. See also the official [Bike Map](https://www.seattle.gov/transportation/projects-and-programs/programs/bike-program/bike-web-map). **Car:** SR-99 is immediately west, and Green Lake Park and Ride and I-5 are also close to the east. PARKING There is parking at the park, but in practice rarely is available. Free street parking can be generally found not far from the park. Many shops and restaurants in the neighborhood also have…
