Words to Live By
Some stories are hard to tell. Some rooms make them possible. Words to Live By comes to the Davis Theatre on May 15 for an evening of music, spoken word, and personal storytelling about struggle, survival, and hope. Created by Cabarrus County resident Jim Love in partnership with the Cabarrus Arts Council and Guerilla Poets, the show brings together artists exploring mental health and recovery — rooted in the belief that strong communities begin with honest conversations. This is a night of shared humanity. A space where people can be present together. A reminder that healing often begins in rooms like this. Through songs, poems, and stories, Words to Live By creates space to listen, to speak, to feel less alone. Tickets are intentionally priced to keep the night accessible to the community.
