About this event
Create two functional ball-point pens of your own design from start to finish on a wood lathe. Under the guidance of an experienced woodturning artist, students will learn to safely drill, turn, and finish wooden blanks into smooth handsized pens. Hardware will be provided to assemble the pens. This workshop is perfect for beginners who want an introduction to the wood lathe or those with experience who are interested in learning how to turn wood pens. The Windgate Art School is generously supported by the Windgate Foundation with additional support from Sherry Worthen in memory of George Worthen. The Windgate Art School’s Reduced Tuition Program is supported by Michael Laughter. Reduced tuition is automatically applied to all classes through 2026.
