WOOD SHOP: FLOATING SHELVES

About this event

Learn how to turn simple lumber into stylish, sturdy floating shelves in this hands-on woodworking workshop. Participants will learn the basic techniques and tools needed to build their own set of two small wooden floating shelves. This workshop is open to participants ages 18+ and to all skill levels. Basic woodworking and tool knowledge is helpful, but not required. Participants will leave with two finished floating shelves ready to mount at home. This is $10 for members (use coupon: WOODSHOP) and $25 for guests. Space is limited. Meet your instructor: Samuel Lujajohnson Samuel Lujajohnson, a family man from southern Indiana, has always had a love for woodworking. His father, a lifelong mechanic, instilled the foundations of using tools and working with his hands from an early age. Sam always enjoyed building things, and had a dedicated workshop by the time he was 12. Mostly self-taught in his adult life, he has continued to learn from other experts through local classes or online videos. Samuel is the co-founder of the custom furniture and fine art company, Oak and Ember Design LLC; partnered with his sister Maranda. With a love for teaching, and all things wood & art, Sam will look forward to leading you through your next project.
