About this event
As the winter season approaches, this gentle, restorative yoga experience invites participants to slow down, breathe, and create space for reflection during what can often be a busy and emotionally full time of year. This accessible class will include simple movement, breath awareness, restorative rest, and a short reflective prompt or journaling invitation. The focus is on comfort, ease, and mindful presence rather than intensity or performance. Participants will be guided through slow, supportive movement and restful postures that encourage the body to soften and the mind to quiet. Blankets will be used as a supportive prop for several poses throughout class, as well as for warmth, grounding, and comfort. Participants are strongly recommended to bring a blanket with them. A mindfulness and reflection component will invite participants to gently notice what they want to carry with them into the winter season, as well as what they may be ready to set down. Reflection may be offered through quiet contemplation, optional journaling, or a simple guided prompt. The intention of this offering is to provide a peaceful pause during the rush of the season — a chance to rest, reconnect, and enter winter with greater presence, steadiness, and care. No prior yoga experience is necessary. Participants are encouraged to move at their own pace and adapt the practice in ways that feel supportive for their body.
