Winter Melodies with Trinity Howell

Tis the Season! Join us for a morning filled with winter melodies and treats for the whole family. Trinity Howell, violist, will perform some winter holiday favorites while you enjoy hot chocolate! Dress for a chill - outside event if weather permits. Trinity Howell is a violist and music educator from Columbia, SC. As an arts advocate, Howell splits her time between teaching viola and violin to students ranging from children and adults, and working as the Assistant Grants Coordinator with the South Carolina Arts Commission. Her musical interests began in fifth grade Guitar Club, before the viola eventually stole her heart. Howell is a graduate of Winthrop University and Illinois State University, where she studied viola performance, music research, and string pedagogy. She has performed with several regional orchestras in Central Illinois and recently joined the Summerville Orchestra. You can also watch her perform with the Charlotte Strings Collective, an ensemble of musicians highlighting classical music by black composers. In her free time, Howell enjoys hiking, visiting amusement parks, and spending time with loved ones.
