About this event
Founded in 2000 by veteran Washington winemaker Kendall Mix, Lawrelin Cellars is a micro-boutique project dedicated to crafting small-lot, highly aged red wines. Named as a tribute to Mix’s parents, Lawrence and Elinor, the label was originally launched as a side venture while he was working for big-name estates like Chateau Ste. Michelle, Corliss, and Goose Ridge. Operating out of a tasting room in downtown Walla Walla, Lawrelin is defined by its extraordinary extended cellaring program—holding its red wines back for 10 to 15 years in bottle prior to public release to demonstrate the aging potential of Washington state terroir. With an ultra-limited production of under 500 cases per vintage, Mix hand-crafts dark, structured, and complex expressions centered almost entirely on Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, sourcing fruit from premier vineyards across top AVAs including Red Mountain, Wahluke Slope, and the Royal Slope.
