This Wine 101 class is taught by Dr. Mitzi Batterson, owner of James River Cellars, who brings both expertise and approachability to the experience. Guests will enjoy a guided tasting that includes at least four 2oz pours while learning how wine is made, from grape to glass, along with insight into Virginia’s wine industry and the history of James River Cellars. Along the way, Dr. Batterson will share practical tasting tips, explain what influences flavor and style, and offer fun, easy-to-understand wine facts designed to build confidence and spark curiosity.
