Wild Rumpus Dance Party

About this event

This is not a "how to dance” class. This is a "just move your body to the sounds" gathering. Real, alive musicians will play, and we will dance. They will follow our lead and increase intensity as we move. We are co-creating rhythm. No two gatherings will be the same. We can dance with our eyes closed or open, and no one will invade your space. This is our second event, so we welcome curious, open-minded, consent-conscience, self-aware, trauma-informed people to attend. All gender expressions are welcome. We do not tolerate the intolerant. This is a safe place to express emotions -- to laugh, cry, and howl. Consent is most important -- Do not touch anyone without a verbal, enthusiastic "YES!" Please don't make anyone feel uncomfortable. Do not stare, stand too close, or try to engage with people who are processing solo. Please adhere to respectful personal hygiene practices. No BO and no overuse of cologne, patchouli, or other essential oils to respect everyone's olfactory sensitivities. If you need refreshening supplies, there are some in the bathroom or just let me know. We hope to have many of these events in the future and include many new forms of self-expression. We all dance differently, and all styles are welcome. To see how I personally dance, click the video. The musicians are paid to be there, so that's why this is not purely donation-based.
