Wild Edible Mushroom Hunting Trip (Postponed to Oct 31st)

*Wild lobster and golden chanterelle mushroom hunt. I know a few areas to hunt for lobster mushrooms and golden chanterelles in Tillamook and Clatsop State Forests. Please read all of the information below: Mushroom hunting requires good physical fitness and willingness to walk off-trail--up and down steep hillsides, push through brush around jagged tree limbs and possibly get wet in the rain. What to bring: \- carpool riders: $10 \(Required\) cash preferred or Venmo \- durable water\-resistant shoes w/ good tread for off\-trail/mud \- pants\, long sleeve shirt\, jacket \- trail snacks/water \(recommend 1 liter\) \- first aid pack with gauze\, med tape\, joint support wraps\, alcohol wipes\, etc\. \- safety whistle or air horn Recommended gear: \- clear safety goggles \- gardening gloves \- rain gear \(weather dependent\) \- change of socks \- small sharp pocket knife \(folding edge\) \- reusable grocery or mesh laundry bag \- mushroom brush \(paintbrush\) \- mushroom identification books \- anything else you want to share with others Donations: A suggested donation of $20 cash or Venmo would be appreciated.
