Based for much of that time in Austin, though frontman James Petralli has since relocated to Los Angeles, the group quickly built a reputation for electrifying live shows and adventurous musicianship, earning comparisons to both classic rock icons and modern innovators. Their 2008 debut Workout Holiday established them as genre-defying outsiders, while later releases such as Corsicana Lemonade in 2013 showcased a more polished but no less daring approach.
