About this event

**AI is getting better at doing the work. That's no longer the interesting question.** The interesting question is: **What should we still want humans to do?** Join **Capital Thinkers** at **Kramers in Dupont Circle** for an evening exploring the increasingly blurry boundary between artificial intelligence, human judgment and meaningful work. *This isn't* an AI demo, sales pitch or networking event disguised as a panel discussion. And you don't need a technical background. We're going to have an *actual conversation.* As organizations race to adopt copilots, agents and increasingly autonomous AI systems, we'll explore questions such as: **• Capability vs. desirability:** Just because AI *can* perform a task, should we delegate it? **• Human judgment:** Which decisions require human accountability even when AI may make them faster—or perhaps even better? **• Expertise:** If AI gives everyone access to expert-level information, what happens to the value of experience? **• Adoption:** Should successful AI adoption really be measured by how much people use AI? **• Meaning:** If technology removes more cognitive labor from our jobs, does work become better—or simply less human? And perhaps the biggest question: **When AI can increasingly do the work, what are humans for?** We'll start with introductions and a few provocations, then let the conversation go where the room takes it. Expect thoughtful disagreement. Curiosity beats certainty here. 🍸 Food and drinks are optional and purchased individually. 👋 **Coming alone is encouraged.** That's how most interesting conversations start. **Capital Thinkers is for curious people interested in philosophy, technology, society, culture and the ideas shaping what comes next.**
