What Is Gen AI?: And What It Can Do

Meeting Room. Are you curious about AI? Have you heard of "ChatGPT" but aren't really sure where to start, or how you might use it? Perhaps you are just trying to grasp what all of the hype is about. Join us for an interactive presentation on AI. We will introduce what AI is, how we got from ideas in books and early computer experiments to today’s AI tools, and how these systems learn to create text and images. You will see how AI learns patterns, try your hand at spotting AI-generated writing and images, and discover some of the surprising ways AI can be used in everyday life. No technical experience is necessary. This program is designed for anyone looking for an introduction to AI, and how to use these new tools thoughtfully and practically. No registration is required.
