If you visit Dolley Madison Library, you might notice some dogs in yellow vests. These are service dogs in training who will one day provide essential assistance to someone in need. Join us as the Canine Companions team shares what a service dog is, how they differ from emotional support animals (ESAs) and therapy animals, and the types of tasks they can perform to support people. You’ll also get to hear the story of a little pup named Andy and his journey toward becoming a service dog. Possible guest appearance from Natty, the Nationals Baseball team sponsored pup.
