Fawn will share her wisdom and how she balances a multi-disciplinary art practice with curating community, and pioneering business leadership as the co-founder of Nuwu Art. Her unique perspective on weaving together heritage, passion, and leadership offers invaluable wisdom for anyone looking to make a lasting impact. The presentation will be followed by a live Q&A session, giving attendees a chance to engage directly with Fawn about her process, her advocacy, and her vision. About the Speaker: Fawn Douglas is an Indigenous artist, activist, and proud member of the Las Vegas Paiute Tribe, with deep roots reaching to the Moapa Paiute, Southern Cheyenne, Creek, Pawnee, and Scottish peoples. A dedicated "artivist," Fawn's diverse studio practice spans drawing, painting, sculpture, performance, and textiles. She earned her MFA with presidential honors from the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) and serves as an Art Commissioner for the City of Las Vegas. Beyond her personal studio, she is the co-founder of Nuwu Art and organizes impactful community programming through the non-profit IndigenousAF. Her life’s work is dedicated to the critical intersections of art, activism, community, education, culture, identity, place, and sovereignty. Free and open to the public.
