Wayside Days: Wisconsin Historical Society History Makers Tour

Wayside Days Friday, September 18, 2026 In the JMKAC Theatre 6:30–8:00 pm Free Join Marcia Bjornerud, geologist and Lawrence University professor, for an evening of history a billion years in the making. The stones incorporated into Lenka Clayton and Phillip Andrew Lewis: Rock Fade (≈ 45 Billion Years) exhibition at the Arts Center have made long journeys in space and time, gathered by glaciers from distant places and bearing memories that span billions of years. Geologist Marcia Bjornerud will translate some of the stories these time-traveling stones tell. The event will feature a lecture, remarks from the artists, a brief Q&A, and refreshments.
