About this event
Waveland’s October Mourning Customs teas and tours invite guests into the quiet rituals and symbolism that shaped 19th century grief and remembrance. The experience blends a reflective tea service with an intimate look at period clothing, etiquette, and the ways families honored their loved ones within the mansion’s walls. Guests enjoy a three-course tea service, Victorian mourning custom dressed interpreters, and a guided mansion tour—all set within one of Kentucky’s most beloved historic homes. Call Waveland for reservations.
