About this event

Join Kari Sweeney, avid lifelong reader, for an inspiring presentation about combining a love of books, travel, and ambition on a solo journey through England’s picturesque Cotswolds. As she approached a milestone birthday, Kari transformed a long-held dream into an ambitious goal: hiking the 102-mile Cotswold Way, from the market town of Chipping Campden to the historic city of Bath. Along the way, she immersed herself in the landscapes, history, and stories of the English countryside while listening to books that accompanied her every step. Kari will discuss the planning, research, and physical training involved prior to the trip, as well as the hike itself: where she stayed, what she loved, and what she learned and would do differently next time. This free event is open to adults with no registration required. We’ll meet in the Community Room from 6:00-7:00 p.m. For more information call 715-261-7230.
