Walkway Connections (For Kids!): Gliders and Paper Planes

Ready, Set, FLY! How far can your imagination take you? Get ready for an afternoon of high-flying fun as kids become inventors, engineers, and pilots in this hands-on adventure presented by the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum! Design, build, and launch your very own flying creations while discovering the science behind flight. Experiment with hoop gliders and paper airplanes, explore how shape, balance, and wing size affect their performance, and put your designs to the test! Can you build an aircraft that flies the farthest or stays airborne the longest? This interactive program is led by educators from the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum, a hands-on children’s science museum dedicated to sparking curiosity, inspiring creativity, and making learning fun through exploration and play. All Walkway Connections events are free to attend and appropriate for all ages. Walkway Connections is supported in part by the Maurice D. Hinchey Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area and The M&T Charitable Foundation.
