A Walk in the Woods is a signature program of the 500-Year Forest Foundation, designed to connect Virginians with the ecological, cultural, and economic value of our forests. These guided walks invite people of all ages and backgrounds to explore local woodlands, learn from forest experts, and gain a deeper appreciation for the natural heritage that sustains our communities. Dates: Monday, October 5 at 1 PM – Candler Mountain, Snowflex Parking Area (Lynchburg, VA) Monday, October 19 – Botanical Garden of the Piedmont (Charlottesville, VA) Monday, November 2 at 10 AM – Byrd Park (in front of the Carillon), Richmond Tree Week (Richmond, VA)
