The 10th Anniversary tour of the hit Broadway musical Waitress is coming to the James M. Nederlander Theatre in Chicago, Il, October 17-18, 2026. The story follows Jenna, an expert pie-maker and small-town waitress trapped in a rocky marriage. When a local baking contest and an unexpected encounter offer her a potential fresh start, she must find the courage to rewrite her own recipe for happiness. The production features an original pop-rock score written by Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson, and direction by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus.
